This teaching learning materials is animated videos on numbers (1-10). This materials is specifically designed for class I to teach the concepts of numbers (1-10).

How to use?

This content-based material (animated video on numbers) can be used by teacher to teach the concepts of number. So, I have created animated videos on counting numbers (1-10) to grasp the concepts.  It is an animated teaching learning material for the lower primary student to learn how to count numbers (1-10). This animated video can be used during the lesson to give information on numbers.While using this TLM, teacher can insist the student to count a number according to animation of petal. Through this TLM student will be eager to learn as they need to count the petal as teacher plays the video and they will enjoy learning numbers. Through short animated video, learners can actually get to see the concept being taught and they will remember it better.

Almost every child has watched cartoons or animations in his or her life, so these tend to grab attention more effectively. Through short animated videos on counting numbers (1-10) will help students entertaining and engaging as well as understand the concepts of numbers. I have created flowers using different types of shapes and colours to visually represent abstract ideas of numbers.

Creation of material

The teaching learning materials can be used in the classroom to teach the concepts of numbers (1-10). I have created this animated video as:

Ø  Prepared the power point presentation

Ø  Inserted the different types of shape to create flower with different number of petal to each flower.

Ø  Given animation to each petal accordingly.

Ø  Adjusted the time in animation pane.

Ø  Saved the power point presentation as window media video to create video.

Ø  Open the window movie maker

Ø  Drag and drop the video and added the background music.

Ø  Added introductory and closing notes.

Activity

Instructions:

After watching short animated video on numbers (1-10), they need to complete this activity. In this activity students need to see the number in left column and pictures in the right column. They need to make a match by drawing lines from number to appropriate pictures. For this activity teacher will provide one worksheet to each students and give 5-10 minutes to complete this activity.

Dear readers,

Let me talk something about myself. I am Chimi Lham from Chukha. I have completed my primary education from Alaykha primary school located in home town, middle schooling from pakshikha central school and I have completed my higher schooling from Chukha central school. Currently I am studying at Paro College of education. I am doing bachelor’s degree in primary education.

 I am from small family of six members. I like to spend quality time with my family in helping each other. My parents and other three siblings are supportive and they always motivate me in doing something good. My parents are farmer, they are earning through hardship to support me and my other siblings for education. I love to spend time enjoying, chatting, going for picnic and enjoying Losar with them.

To save my time from boredom and doing bad things I always doing something that benefits me or have good result at the end. I like to spend my time in reading books, watching television and playing offline games as I am not interested in playing outdoor games. I like to visit scared places with my college mates for enjoyment during weekends. Sometime I spend time in doing house hold chores.

I like cooking different types of dishes. Some of my friends like eating fast foods, snacks and junks. But I like to eat only food with different dishes. I like to prepare different types of dishes which help me to try and prepare something new at home. It helps me in saving my time from boredom and helps me to manage my money without wasting on unhealthy food like junks and fast food.

So, lastly I hope all readers will enjoy reading my introduction though it is not good enough.
